The MC is a pretty nice to see,he's not all kind yet he's not fully evil either

 

Dresden files. The worldbuilding is epic. The characters are solid too and grow over time.

 

The snake report on rrl. The main character is hillarious.

 

How to take your princess on rrl. The main is pretty unique and funny.

Reject Hero. Solid world building, and a main character that, while "common", in part, in some settings, isn't usually given the main character spotlight. MC is an intelligent, successful and happy family man... who just so happened to awaken one day with a transformation-type superpower that activates on a hair trigger, makes everyone in a certain radius of him want to kill him at all costs while it's activated, and that he can't power-down from unless there's no conscious people in the radius that makes people want to kill him. He's the type of person who wants to be a hero, but the fact that his powers literally bring civilians into the middle of Super Fights makes that a no-go. Story eventually explains where Supers came from, why and how they gain powers, what the "selection", if you could call it that, criteria are, and more. The story is also complete.

Data Dragon Danika. I, personally, think that this one has solid world building and plot direction, as well as a unique Main Character, but you may disagree. It starts out as a generic VRMMO, only the MC isn't playing for any of the reasons most generic VRMMO stories give. She isn't playing to be the very best. She isn't playing to spend time with other people, most likely friends or relatives. She started playing because the game looked fun and everything suggested that she'd be able to play in a way that she normally couldn't in other games. Also, because she wanted to be a dragon, but, come on, who wouldn't? Upon finding out that playing without a class is possible, but comes with limitations, MC decides to do so.

Spoiler: Spoiler - Fairly Late into what's been written & current information

Story is mostly slice-of-life of playing games, which develops into slice-of-life working for the company that makes the story's VRMMO. She's on the story development team/significant plot issue solution team. That is to say, the team she joins doesn't decide where the overarching plot's going, but need to make sure that there's no plot holes in it, while also finding plot-fitting solutions to racial failures & bugs.

Dreams Come True. MC lives in a world with superpowers, and, shortly after being rejected to go to what is essentially Super School due to his potential power meter fluctuating without reason while his best friend goes, awakens himself a superpower. Specifically, his consciousness is born into another world with magic for a week at a time while he's asleep in this world. He tries to get an upgrade in class due to awakening his super power... only for it to result in him getting an extra + on the end of his "ranking" because he didn't realise he could also make illusions that can interact with others in the world like they were real. Which he finds out right after the cut-off point for going to Super School. This is the story of his two lives and how living two lives influences both.

 

I'm currently in the 11th chapter and so far, the casts are absolutely hilarious! It might be my new favorite. Thanks for recommending it

Just try it. The thing I like about this novel is the mc character development as human, from selfish brat to dignified man full of fighting spirit.

 

I can't seem to find any novel called "God Grid", be it internet or otherwise. Could you please provide a link? The closest I could find was called "Grid of the Gods".

this...is... AMAZING. The plot, the magics, the worldbuilding, the logic behind all of the magics, the mysteries...i'm honestly surprised. Truly surprised. Everything connected smoothly, with almost 0 filler and plotholes. So far, a 5 star material! Thanks a lot for recommending this!

This is a real novel but I think you'll like warbreaker by Brandon sanderson I think Ive read it on wattpad some yrs ago... dont know why Brandon would post it there for free tho, its too good for that website and they dont deserve it

 

Most of the novels you mentioned are light novels or light novel format.
Which means they are commercial novels..
I hate to sound like a broken record but buy a novel..
If you are unsatisfied you can request a refund.
Syosetu is an amateur even munpia.. for the most part
Stories are littered with typos to say to least. And plot holes at worse.

Searching for gold in the butt of a cow is a fool's errand.
