first thing first, we translate as a hobby. So real life is the top priority. Considering this is the first time we hire a translator to translate, we hope we can do this.

I get, really, and the quality is usually high. It's a fact, though, that most novels on the site are inactive. And, well, there are several novels on yado inn that I am still waiting to be continued, to no avail Saying nothing at all about translators themselves

 

To be fair, your point is correct, but we do make an effort to find people to pick up the novels we translate. Most of the novels we do are teasers, but a decent amount of novels were dropped with legit reasons, such as Max Level Witch was dropped cause of Yen Press license. Another translator got in some real life trouble, so we can't possible force them to translate when we aren't even paying them anything. You can look forward to Remake Our Life though cause that's being edited and translated up to the end of Chapter 3. Which novels are you hoping to be continued being translated? I can ask the translators if they're still interested and find out groups to translate them if they can't do so anymore?

 

Sure, and if the novel is listed in the "dropped", that's fine. But at the moment there are 14 novel in "active", from which 1 is completed, at least one was dropped by the author and currently has only a few translated chapters with no memo about it's status or if it will be continued translating. The others are just inactive or being translated maybe 1 chapter a month. And I am really not saying anything other than this. I've watched few novels I wanted to read picked up by yado inn, only for the translation to stop soon or for them to be dropped for one reason or another.
So I guess, I have a problem with novels listed as "active", while possibly preventing others from picking them up, while not being translated.
Well, the novel I wanted to read was World’s Strongest Rearguard. I was reading the OP Witch until it got licensed, and OP waifus until it got dropped. There is also The Small Sage, but that seems to be just slow atm, which usually is the indicator that it is going to get dropped soon.

 

Yeah, so basically Rearguard was basically the translator who I was talking about, so he hasn't been able to translate anything at all. As for Sage, there's a translator interested in translating it that I'm currently trying to contact and Chapter 3 is coming out in a few days as I just need to translate a tiny portion and have it edited.

 

Do you know by chance what happened? Did real life hit her hard or something? She seems to went on Christmas vacation and never came back. (I am talking about the Rearguard.)

 

and what's up with The Girl Who Spits Up Jewels? That also seems interesting, but no updates for a while

 

Uhh... to put it simply, something like that. Also Jewels... some dude contacted saying they wanted to pick it up and I gave em a okay, but... they never released anything lmao

 

It's often like that, isn't it? lol The same thing just happened to the Rearguard - someone claimed to have picked it up, released some sort of ad scam link for one chapter and that was it

 

Oh sweet, I’m waiting for this. Asian hobbyst translate 6 chapters but the translations seems off compared to the previous. Hopefully this one bring back my passion to read it again
