The internet is a powerful thing but when people start thinking that they are smarter than professionals because of something they saw on facebook or whatsapp. It can leads to disastrous consequences https://www.bbc.com/news/video_and_...136/measles-vaccine-fears-cost-me-my-children
Frankly, if they're listening to anti-vaxx theories and believe them, they should really, really try and convince EVERYONE ELSE to think of them as rubbish, so that their own children would be safer if every other child nearby is vaccinated.
it doesnt matter....antivax faction is stronk.....morons like them will produce new disease sooner rather than later.....pathetic first world countries.....too much luxury made them idiots.....
Problem is that they end up endangering others. People who cant take vaccines due to some genuine reason or immune system disorders would be the one contracting diseases due to this group of nutcases
Don't be that guy. This isn't just affecting them, this affects everyone. Herd immunity only works when a significant portion of the population commits to the vaccination. When people start getting exemptions it opens up the risk of diseases mutating and becoming vaccine-resistant. Anti-vaxxers aren't just risking themselves, they put the whole human race at risk.
It baffles me how people believe in anti vaccination and endanger their children to harmful diseases due to baseless rumors and hearsay said by some average Joe and not listen to a proper professional doctor.
That goes for so many topics these days... and the worst source of them all is Trump. Climatechange is a lie by the chinese. Lol. 97% of all research papers on the topic disagree on that one. And that one can SEVERELY fuck most of us.
Misinformation? No, I don't think it is, I mean there are lots of crazy theories out there in the world, flat earth, antivax, etc... (those believing that their waifus are real ) But seriously, I say it is stubbornness or obstinacy, some people just won't admit they are wrong unless they cause a disaster, you can't help it
I thought it would be nature creating some super virus to control population...but apparently human stupidity is enough. If only it didn't affect others too.
I still think vaccines only necessary for severe life threatening case and epidemic situation. Tough up your own immune system instead of relying on vaccine or antibiotics on every case and at every level. Eat good food, exercise, and stay hygienic.
There is active misinformation being passed around. Conspiracy theories, fake websites that claim there are conspiracies within vaccination plans, etc. A few years ago I came across a counterfeit web page that the host-site claimed was taken down by the CDC because it 'proved' vaccines cause autism. They used all of the CDC's design work but the information contained was clearly fake.
This is the modern version of witch-hunts of historical times. It's not simply misinformaton. It's simply misguided, uneducated people. Just like how kids would believe anything, so will uneducated people.
Vaccines do exactly that.... strengthen immune system.... and immune system doesn't get strengthened by exercising or eating good food , it gets strong by exposure to diseases and developing resistance against them which is what vaccines do in a mild way , gym is not the cure of everything....
The UK government is advertising about disinformation, hear it all the time on spotify. They even created a checklist online. What I don't get is, if you have something serious, something affecting health and safety - especially for children - why would you not check on a professional medical website?
They don't. They just presenting a weakened virus so the immune system can identify and learned how to defeat them. The weakened virus are of little influence to the body so technically you're sick for a while until the immune system defeat them. The process doesn't change except your body functions are not compromised during the ordeal. The problem is in real life it's not like the immune system would always fight a weakened version of the virus.
There is no cure for stupidity. But there is a vaccine foe stupidity. But some people are too stupid to take vaccine. So, there is no vaccine for stupidity.
