It’s been years since the last time I’ve binged watch nonstop anime after anime, reading manga after manga. Things change, went to college, got a great girl, graduated and now Covid-19. Which brings us here—Me on my parents house in a city on lockdown. I can’t go to my supposedly first day of my first job, can’t go to my girl’s. Now, I have time again, time to rediscover my love for anime and manga.

I really want recommendations of good anime and manga that I missed since 2014, old school ones are good too, thanks.

    Welcome back bro.

You definitely gotta watch the 2 movies of Heaven's Feel. The third and last one is scheduled for next week.

    Hmm....

I'd just give a list of the ones I find good.

    Voices from a Distant Star
    Tiger and Bunny
    Psychopass
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (The old one, not the remake. Have not watched the remake yet so no opinion on that.)
    12 Kingdoms
Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii Desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii Desu ka?
Code Geass is a bit niche so not for everyone.
    Monster

There are a few more that I need to think a bit more to remember but I think this should tide you over for now.

I really recommend these first few. :blobpeek:

Mob Psycho 100 (2 seasons) (Same mangaka as One Punch Man)
    Assassination Classroom
Charlotte (Same director as Angel Beats/Clannad)
Fire Force (Same mangaka as Soul Eater)
Noragami (This one was in 2014, but it also got a second season.)

There's also a lot of Sword Art Online past season 2 if you liked it.
    - 1 movie about AR
    - 1 season about brain reality (something or other)
    - A continuing season about the brain reality.

Edit: Can't forget about bunny girl senpai. It's the best, and the opposite of trashy.

This is the first anime I've watched nonstop, without skipping, fully focused ever since, probably forever.

The title seems familiar, I think I read that before. I’ll checkout Tsurezure children, thanks .

Me and my bro was gonna watch tiger and bunny a few years ago, the cartoon-western like animation was shocking.

I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t like code geass, it’s one of my favorites. It hit me deep and it still hurts, hopefully the upcoming sequel would help the hole in my heart.

Got spoiled on berserk so I’m gonna pass on that till I get amnesia somehow.

I’ve read grimgar, one of the best reads I’ve had from these stupid novel hell that somehow won’t make me stop reading even if it’s shit. Read till their tank-warrior-whats-his-name died while standing, thanks for reminding me of it, gonna read it now.

I’ve finished reading Tate no yuusha though, ending was a bit sad for me...

Demon slayer was the only anime I watched since 2014, cuz my girl really wanted to watch it and we watch together. I give it 8/10, good anime.

Imma check out the other stuff you mentioned, seems fun. Thanks.

I think these anime were the last ones I watched. I remember they started airing somewhere near the end of the year of 2014. Thanks anyway though.

Never got to finish assassination classroom and I don’t have plans anytime soon. I’m also gonna pass on SAO for a bit, but from what I heard about the alicization arc got me curious though.

Fireforce and Noragami seems nice though, will check it out, thanks.

I heard a lot of great things from this anime. It has great reviews and score in MAL too, seems there is more to these cute characters.

Yup, these right here would help me through the lockdown all the way and still won’t probably finish it all I guess. Dragon ball and magic index is one long ride, so I’ll just take one — A certain magical index. Imma check out the others man, thanks.

Which one is better, the anime or the novel?

Did it have a VN though? I seem to remember it has.

Anime. The novel is a bit drier. If you can get over the quick detaching arms that is. I know it's a story plot but they just came off way too easily.

I hope they don't undo what Le Douche did, his finale was the crowning highlight of his plan and the highpoint of the entire series. If they undid that, it's like they were just playing with our feelings.
