Mobile Ad Redirects?

So I've been experiencing this for a few days now. I've cleared my cache and any other thing that can be cleared in my mobile browser(which worked in the past), but now it's just not going away. It's gotten to the point where I have to use adblock browser just to access the site. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

 

Yeah it was a nightmare. I've resorted to ad blocker now as well.

 

No, ads have never popped on the site for me.

Have you downloaded any app recently? Once, I had downloaded an app which made me get pop ups all the time.

Never installed adblock.

The only time I got ads over here is when I accidently click the add on the main page.

 

That's weird cos I never had it before. Then out of nowhere nearly wuxiaworld and others kept redirecting me. Had to get Adblock cos I couldn't read anything

 

Wuxiaworld definitely doesn't use ads that forcefully redirect users. Problem must be in your device.

Tried scanning your device with anti malware? Do you remember installing or downloading anything or going on a site you never went before a few days before the redirection problem began?

 

Nah nothing like that. Pretty much new phone, nothing new installed on it. No new sites either apart from novels

 

You proabably have adware on your phone. Just delete your cache and such and hopefully that'll take care of it.

 

If you read the second sentence it says I already did that. I also scanned my device got adware and what not. Idk at this point it's on perma adblock status I hate those fucking redirect ads lol

I have no problems with any novel websites myself. I did have adware at one point but I cleared out all the excess files and that got rid of it. If you can't figure it out, I don't know what's wrong with your phone. *shrugs*

I have the same problem. NovelUpdates has become barely usable in the past few days. I have to keep reloading the page multiple times to get a version without this ad. WuxiaWorld was showing the same ad but I just blocked JavaScript there. If I block it here as well I won't be able to mark chapters as read.

The domain it redirects to is http://rdr.harbwire.com if that helps.

 

Be aware some ads automatically download an executable/app into your device. Maybe it was installed inadvertently.

sometime ago my android chrome shows something like webgl hit a snag whenever i open NU
then i check my chrome app on google play shows that it need update
after update it somehow resolve it self

 

Sorry for the lack of replies. Yes I was talking about NU and it just randomly resolved itself recently. No idea what was making it happen. I had originally cleared cache and did a malware scan to no avail, but yesterday it just suddenly worked when I tried it out.

 

I can confirm that the redirecting ad is no longer showing and hasn't been for the past few days. Thanks!

 

I have add blocking software but I still get redirected when I go on novel updates, got any ideas?
