Kyaaaaa! Why have I never seen any suggestion to read this novel till date!? OMG! It is too cute!
And not just cute, the stories (yes multiple stories) are so so good! Honestly, this is one of the most addicting novels I've ever read... I am sooo hooked.

If anyone has issues with yaoi/shounen-ai, and misses out on this...well, I just feel bad for u cuz this is a gem! And although there are romance elements in it, all the arcs have really good stories and romance is just a part of it. (Plus there aren't any hardcore descriptions.)

Also, anyone have similar recommendations? (BL or no BL idc.)

I don't automatically dislike same-sex relationship novels. Though I do mostly dislike novels that are about relationships / romance / drama per se. So that would include bl/yaoi. (i.e. if the main focus of novel is about adventure, action, kingdom building, etc I can enjoy almost any novel.)

And most of them that I've seen on NU are "smut" which is basically 99% of the time what I absolutely dislike so yes, I mostly stay away from these tags because of the connotations.

Also it doesn't help that people that like yaoi e.g. "fujoshi's" talk about liking the BL novels for the reasons I would dislike them, so basically for me they're making the novel a great disservice.


So to be honest I probably dislike what the people who enjoy the novels say about them more than the novels themselves, and I have to say that just thinking about potentially liking the same novel as certain people can affect how I think about the novel, more or less unrelated to the content. (As rude as that is.)

p.s. so far I've thought The Legendary Master's Wife wasn't too bad, I'll have to check this one before I can comment on it in particular.

p.p.s MC living multiple lives kind of novels aren't for me so I probably won't try it. Same reason I have avoided My disciple died yet again (or whatever it was called) even though it seem a bit interesting.

Girl here and simply not interested. I migth read a BL manga. (migth operative word here, also I have jsut too much to read gah!)

 

i've got my novelupdates front page set up to exclude the following tags: "yaoi" and "shounen ai"

 

Most normal straight male would get affected by BL, Because most people immerse themselves when they read and become the MC. Its would be really weird imagining myself getting F in the ass.

 

fanfics of them are fun to see but reading them just don't click with me

I'm not a homophob and it's fine to watch read about gay people, just I don't want to read/watch their intimate scenes, hell half of the straight ones I skip because I'm not reading a novel to get a weird boner, there's hentai for that.

 

I skip it, I just don't have interest in reading it.

But the same is said for... GL(?), it just has zero appeal to me.

Even though I know ZYS is acting I still feel like crying every few chapters. Too bad next update is at the end of september.

 

The synopsis and most of the tag cloud look gr8...

but... the picture, and a few of the tags put me off.

Put a more cool picture, and maybe I'd try it. Then again I lie, the possessive characters tag puts me off even though it has really nice reviews and ratings.
