Physical, mental, and soul magic... I'm guessing these are the 3 main branches of magic (defenses)?

And didn't expect Ibery to be like that. Like, really.
Impressive how the author uses the time loop to bring up plot points from ages ago and makes it relevant again, while developing the characters in unexpected ways too.

He should have known better than to think he wouldn't get pulled into the argument ;)

I wonder how much more outrageous her demands will get once she actually believes in the time loop? And if she'll try to do anything shady to their souls.
Its still not really certain that he was telling the truth. I'm leaning towards believing him, but he's not exactly got the best reputation.

You think he has the mental capacity to lie under stress?

I honestly don't remember enough about him to say, but If Zorian's beliefs about him are well founded (unlikely, I know), then this is far from the first time he's been in trouble. Its not inconceivable that he'd have a lie ready.

True. But the lie is so outlandish that it almost seems true.

Not really. Blaming the victim is probably one of the most common lies out there, especially for things like this. Actually, if he's telling the truth, and I'm remembering her side of things correctly, then she also blamed the victim.

Huh. But Zorian would be able to tell if he was lying anyway... so

I don't remember anything about him reading Fortav? I thought he was trying to avoid doing that with his family?

I can understand where Fortov is coming from, even if he is being an entitled little ****, but after the first year, it should have been clear that Damien wasn't going to keep his promise. At that point, he could have just transferred to a different, less demanding school.

Zach should really sue Tessen before they escape the time loop. That way, he'll have a good idea of what Tessen's first few moves will be, and may turn up even more evidence to use against him. Like say, the time and location at which Tessen will hire a criminal to commit (insert illegal act here) against Zach. If he were to arrange for that location to be under surveillance, he could get him on criminal charges, which would certainly hurt Tessen's civil case.

"Tell me," Silverlake said, "have you two ever heard about the primordials"
"Why yes, I've met one before. It was quite unpleasant," Zorian affirmed ;)

He's implied that he's already tried that.

I thought he just talked to lawyers to find out what his odds of winning were, and what sorts of things would be involved?

And shame his exceptionally overbearing parents?
... then again, so far he is just delaying an even greater shame as he fails out. But his parents are probably unwilling to see it.

Really though, the worst part is that he isn't stupid, just too lazy to actually put in the effort

Thing is, everyone ever has a story and a reason for what they do. That doesn't change the fact they are doing it. You have a super entitled lazy brat who took a promise of "help" to mean "cheat for me".

They probably won't know for certain until half way through the last arc at the earliest. This is a mystery after all. I expect their first pick for Red Robes to be utterly wrong, regardless of how certain they are about it.
I'd agree that he needs a swift kick in the a**, but if Damien had kept his promise, then Damien would likely have wound up giving it to him. Though, considering the amount of baggage everyone in that family is hauling around, it might have taken some time for it to sink in that Damien was trying to help him when he refused to carry him.

So there is three different ways for Zorian to come into the real wolrd.
1.Complete the Sovereign Gate keeper quest, finding artifacts of empire
2.Zach speculation to use primordials prison as bridge for opening passage between time loop world and the real world
3.Releasing a primordial from it prison (I thought this's path that Red Robe want to use)
But because our MC Zorian is inhabitant of time loop world and just a copy of zorian from real world then there will be two zorian if our MC Zorian successfuly come to real wolrd ?

I wonder if the primordials were connected because the keys can interact with them in some important way, or if they act as stabilizers/batteries to keep the whole thing running.

Also wondering if they're going to wind up stealing that airship in every restart, or if they'll figure out a less flashy way to get there ;)
Releasing a primordial won't work. The last time one started to get out, the loop restarted.
