Is anyone here interested in reading MTL'd novels that aren't currently on Lnmlt? I'm creating a glossary to save my brain from too much brain damage by using TextCrawler. And I'm seeking for fellow daoist interested in making MTL novels more readable.

Yes, my biggest problem with MTL is when it simply translates the names of the characters. It totally breaks my immersion argh. If you didn't notice:

Two Rituals is Ryougi Shiki(两仪式)
Two Instruments is Ryougi Luo (两仪落)

Btw, I have no idea if 两仪落 is really Ryougi Luo
No, I can say totally that 两仪落 is not Ryougi Luo
But whatever, I don't care if the mc's name is wrong, as long I get the canon characters' name right.

I know that 两仪 means Ryougi, but when it comes to 落, I'm lost.
Can someone help me with Chinese names?

I know that 式 is Shiki in Japanese and Shi in Chinese, if I'm right.

Anyway, I've already added 690+ terms in a txc file that was provided by a fellow Daoist on SPCNET four years ago.

I'm using terms provided by fellows mtl addicts from the site Lnmtl, and researching for the characters' names on chinese wikias. Well, there are a lot of fanfics, on lnmtl, which provides terms. Just copy and paste the terms.

Like the novels: Holistic Fantasy, Illimitable until death and Grand Shoujo Summoning

I'm currently working on adding the terms of the Type-moon series and I will move on other series as soon I'm satisfied.

I've already added terms like Magecraft, Magic Circuits, Magus, etc.

Btw, I think that adding sentences are more viable than just one word.

And more. Translating chapter by chapter sucks, you have to copy and paste a lot. That's why I'll be saving the raw txt files and uploading on my google drive, so if someone is interested in reading it, there won't be a need for such a hassle. Yeah, I'm such a good girl, but you can be as well, right? Please, save your raws txt files as well and share it with everyone, it's not difficult. So, people will just download your txt file and use the latest updated txc on it

Just one more thing: I'm updating my txc file with chinese fanfics in mind. I really like dimension hopping novels, that's why I have to recur to mtl. Yeah, you can use the txc file I'm sharing, because I won't only add the names of items and characters, but sentences as well.

If you like dimension hopping to anime worlds I think you will get the better out of it.

Numbers ought to be somewhat high on the priority list as well then, I guess. Numbers & names are what lnmtl tend to be most confusing about when translating, but that doesn't go just for lnmtl but mtl in general

Most important question though, can you see the raws and the translation at the same time? And is there some highlighting or anything?

Also, is there any replacement for perapera popup dictionary application? Reading MTL without being able to use a hover/highlight dictionary would suck real bad for me.

EDIT: I noticed it has regular expression, that's good. One of my #1 gripes with LNMTL is how I have to make the same terms over and over again with slight variations, and of course, how I can't set it up so that the terms will only be used when it's appropriate.

It's quite the opposite actually... You can fix systranet translations but if you're using google translate there's little that terms can do for you.

GT is basically a case of 'take it or leave it'. Of course, the default translation is better, but the 'potential' so to speak is lower.

So my best recommendation is to keep going until you either give up on mtl and try learning the (God forbid it) Chinese or improve the quality of the mtl and try to avoid getting your brain evolves to that of a demigod
