Question MTL, how many chapters do you read a day?

4chapter? I see, I became weak. lol
But have you finished a lot of novel already?
I think so but RT knows Korean already so she's reading it smoothly I guess.

I don't have a problem reading good quality translation, I can read for 2 to 3 hours without stopping.

So you stop after your head ache then read again after resting. Or you'll read the next day?

Last one I read was king of gods. Things got interesting at the end of the competition arc. Had to find out what happened. On the downside it killed my interest in the novel for a while so I'm letting it stack up now lol

 

Honestly, I don't see much of a difference between a normal translated novel and a machine translated. As long as I understand what they are saying, for me, that's enough. On average I read about 100 chapters a day, if I am free. If not, only 50 chapters.

Yup, many terms don't make sense for me translated in mtl so I don't like it

 

I became weak after not reading CN MTL for long,
My head ache now after reading a chapter or 2.
Unlike the time I'm into CN I'm also like you guys can read up to 50 to hundred as long as it's readable.

 

Na I don't care about the terms as long as I can understand the story, of course I still follow the good translation to understand better but just skin it.

 

Tka in mtl was super bad imho. So what do you read in mtl?

 

I had read btth mtl more than 1 year ago till the end.
I was like you that time addicted to cn's but the 2nd one i choose to mtl was issth and i give up on that after reading like 200 chaps i reach ch 1000 at that time.
I have probably read around a dozen mtl but my interest usually drop at around 100-200chaps.
The last one was hssb and i was like
Day 1- 50 chaps
Days2- 40. Chaps

Day 5 - 10 chaps


Day10- 1 chap..., 2 chaps...., 3cha....
Dammit imma gonna drop. you!
I also now don't read Cn except wmw.

 

I've never had a headache from reading, be it mtl or not. It's just that these numbers fit the time I spent reading daily.

 

I plan to read TKA but lost interest after the qi and wuxia drama.. I tried to MTL "death mage doesn't want a fourth time" but after reading a chapter my head start aching.. it left at a cliff on light novel bastion so I tried to read in advance.hehe

Right, after reading a lot of CN your interest in it will wane over time. KR novel is good for me now.xD

My grammar got worse after thousands chapter of mtl-ing

Novels that have 'arcs' or too many cliffhangers I either check on how long I have to stockpile chapters for the arc to end, or cheat myself pass the cliff to satisfy my curiosity.
However, sometimes I read way too many if I found an interesting novel that has no real ongoing translation.

 

That depends. If there is novel I want to binge MTL, around 20-30 ch/day. As of now, I'm still stacking up chapter (the novel got slower in pacing)

 

I used to read either a few tens or a few hundred mtl chapters daily depending on the day , it made my English shittier than it already is so I stopped with stage 3 cancer

 

I do read a lot of mtl chapters. Usually TDG, Warlock of the Magus World and Library of Heaven’s Path

I respect translators and will wait for them.
I can read Chinese.

The only time I ever read MTL was for books 22-23 of Desolate Era, and after that I couldn't find anything else that made me go crazy waiting for the translations.
How do you guys read so much MTL? It makes me cringe just thinking about it. Although, the main reason why I don't read MTL is probably the annoying chat window on LNMTL.

 

Technically, if you're reading specific novels at QI. You're reading MTL. (LOL)
