yes we can machine translation but the algorithm we use makes it much more readable in comparison to usual/ordinary mtl websites you have known.
though just wondered why dont people mtl and then do secondary edits? o3o that way u can pick out the messed up grammar

because of the quantity of the chapters. when we mtl we go through chapter 1 till the end in one go. It's just hard to do editing unless group of people make a great commitment

Almost half of the novels that are on our website aren't being translated at all. Secondly, there is no rule that says the novels that are being currently translated should not be mtled.

That rule refers to theft. ... That is, do not post or ask for copies of licensed translations on the forums. Don't make a thread asking for the latest release from Yen Press or share a copy of a new chapter from J-Novel. While it should be obvious to begin with, copying and redistributing licensed translations is a no-no. That said, I do respect what you're saying about MTL'ing novels with an active translator. I, personally, absolutely detest poaching. So I get it. ... This isn't really poaching, though, and I don't think you have anything to worry about. After all, this is just machine translation. Anyone can do this... and there's a damn good reason few people bother. Unedited machine translation is just garbage. The presence of it does not detract from the value of a real translation at all.
I'm on the line on this. I understand some authors may get mad over this and on the other hand I already mtl most of novels extra(102 myself so seeing a slightly edited version does make it easier for me. Oh what to do. How do you plan to keep the site up with no profits though? Ad revenue? If you are making any sort of revenue through this then the owners of translation can and will go after you. That being said appreciate the work on Novel's Extra its pretty much my go to Korean novel right now
Well, even if they can shut them down, can those publishers stop people from mtling themshelves with google translate or systran? mtl is mtl, proper translation is proper translation. In the end most people will still choose to read translation by human. And it's not like they are straight copy-paste those licensed translation by those english publishers.
