    Hello everyone please help me
I have two male cats, that just mated, they are both around 10-11 months old,
They mated at different places, and were apart for like 3-4 days, before mating they were super friendly to each and loved each other but just after returning the minute they see each other they start meowing then hissing and letting out voice that I would describe as ghouls not cats, and then fighting, we asked a specialist and he said that it’s because after cat mate they get this extreme personality or something and the only solution is to have them neutered, or we can just separate them and try to slowly integrate them till they accept each other again which can take a short or a long time or even never.
I’m really worried and don’t know how to help them stop fighting and accept each other, I tried showering them to like eliminate any other cat smell from them but it’s still the same.

can anyone help me ? I don’t know where to ask for help or what I should do ? Should I get them neutered ? Or what I should do ?
I didn’t know where else to post this I’m sorry .

p.s.: they are fighting like seriously, injuring one another and pulling hair out.so I’m separating them from each other, one in the living room and another In my brother’s room, and every few hours I change that, I switch their places. If they ever see each other as I said before they hiss and want to fight so I mostly have to hold them tight .

Neutered them if you can or put a clip on both their neck and put them side by side, the tension between them will lessen.

the pro is right~ the peaceful way is neuter them, if you dont wanna they become eunuch then yeah let them slowly get used to each other despite it may not work cuz one of them may really want to beat other despite the pitiful, idiot, pathetic win lose ratio while other just chill.... or they really want to beat each other~
well just slowly make them on one place for moment under your observation separate when they actually fight but if just hissing just put each other further apart~

oh almost forget, if they keep fighting each other there possibility one or both of them will run away from home

Yep, that happens with animals with territorial instincts (cats, dogs, etc...). I'm assuming the mating has put their hormones through the roof, so now they are venting it out. Like everyone said above, neutering them is the quickest way, but if you don't want to do that, I suggesting putting them in separate cages, within eyesight of each other, and let them get accustomed to each other again. Hopefully, they will be back to normal in a few days/weeks.
Also, do keep it in mind that, despite being "solitary" animals, cats are also somewhat gregarious animals, though not as much as lions. So they will submit to the leader of the group: you. So don't mind if you have to be a bit more strict with them in order for them to tolerate each other and behave. Just don't mistreat them. Just a loud voice and a glare is usually enough.

Wanted to make a joke about catfights and bros before hoes, but then they are both male and the hoes won...

and worse even, going by the consensus, they might not remain bros much longer... :blobfearful:

I’m leaning toward neutering them, thanks guys,

Problem is the moment they hiss they take attack pose and get close to each other slowly and then attack.
At first we didn’t separate them, and let them stay in the same room but apart, they slowly approach each other and hiss then fight. Even if we pull them apart before they come close to each other they return to approaching each other and the cycle repeat

My first thought was to make a betting ring and film them. :blobspy:

The obvious solution is for you to mate as well then return and hiss at them. Since you're bigger they'll have to band against you and thus achieve unity.

For a sec I thought u said they mated with each other...

Well that wouldn't be first either... Their bigger cousins have done it already :sweating_profusely:

Anyway I suggest keeping them in sight... And make your presence known when they fight...them fighting without your permission is challenging your authority... Pound those mf's if you have to... They should get PTSD of even thinking of fighting near you...

Ps: don't harm animals...it is a punishable offense :blobpeek:
