One of the classmates has appraisal, so they may go for either Saya, or Karen. It would be hilarious if they try for his "defenseless" sister, only to be ambushed by a troop of foxes in uniform.

In case you lurkers haven't figured it out, a part of the concepts that went into this novel is a parody for the summoned-hero-asked-to-defeat-the-demon-King genre.


Even if I ended up going with them from the start, I’d have gone back to Earth the moment I had found a way. Who would want to go with this bunch and defeat a Demon Lord. That’s your job as the classic protagonist you find everywhere. Only by imagining myself being with them in that world, my expression distorted to an irritated one.

Persionlly, I would be looking for a way to travel between multiple worlds. including earth. so I could make money by taking things that are cheap on earth to other worlds that are not in the middle of being destroyed and I can sell them for a profit back on earth.

Might require a fake gold mine, or some fencing service though.

 

You earn more money from the worlds on the brink of destruction, though. People want to have a few luxury items around if the Demon King is coming.

 

Easy to swipe some gold coins that are used as currency in one world then cashed them in for millions in your world. In fact, doesn't Saving 80,000 gold in Another World's protagonist do that?

 

Maybe, but they would be spending more on defense, and I would kind of prefer to not be an arms runner.
Might not be that hard if you could pick up the right magic items/potions and let the proper people know though. Kind of like what the MC of Going Back and Forth Between Earth and The Other World with Space Time Magic does with his bosses, but the US weapons industry and possibly Government

Gold coins should be pretty rare in most worlds, depending on the time period, and it is heavy. There was quite a while in medieval Europe where gold was horded in the treasuries of kings and nobles and not really used as coinage, like the viking age.

Really you want something that they under value compared to our society, and to be trading something wee no longer value highly. for a while Aluminum was more expensive then gold, and there are plenty of consumable trade goods that we have in excess that they did not centuries ago.

 

Actually, due to war, a lot of common items become high priced luxury goods. You don't need to run arms, just show up with fresh food during the rationing, or sell whatever to the guys inevitably embezzling defense funds.

Then erase the skills of the Demon Army...return the heroes...this way, everyone will be busy hunting monsters for a few years.
