I am confused about what happened in chapter 23. This chapter jumped around alot more than some of the other chapters, but the real confusion comes at the end of the chapter. Did she drown in the tub? I don't think she did, I think it was just a vision of another death she had but I'm not sure so could someone let me know. Thank you.

AAAAAAAAAH that was a depressing chapter as usual
I really want to know the mystery behind the enigma that is Crow though, who/what are you?!!

The translator clarified it under someone's comment

So, all this time Silvia has been poisoned?
Was she perhaps, someone born from a mistress? It make sense if the mother was holding a grudge and tried to kill Silvia without others noticing by acting nice.

But I see no reason for the father to not notice anything.

Gawd, the latest chapter has got to be one of the more frustrating chapters in the entire novel so far. So much roundabout speeches, meaningless words, and just plain drivel to drive the suspension and up the word count. Get to the point will they! The entire exchange could be summed up with one sentence from each of them! I dont feel like any additional value to the novel itself was added at all.
I swear aside from how masochistic this novel is, the exchanges, hesisitation and outright pure wishy-washy-ness makes me want to flip a table.

On another note, it certainly ensures the reader to not put the novel down if we can read japanese and had the physical novel

Honestly, I feel like the father just lives in Sylvia la-la land. I wouldnt be surpirsed if he didnt notice. Too absorbed to care and know unless it somehow implicates him directly.

I am glad that Ilya managed to speak to defend herself this time. There's too many occasion where she simply don't have the moment to talk..

Not really? I mean she spoke up, but still in roundabout circles that dont actually lead to anywhere. In the moment it seems like something, but at the end of it all what was really said? Nothing.
