Why do I have a feeling that the duke turned into a child (?) or a teenager (?) so he has no choice but to give his role to MC. Hopefully we'll get spoilers for this
I read like halfway. The first part of the story is filled with flashbacks so you understand where her misunderstandings come from, pretty standard cliche stuff where she comes upon convos in the middle and hears something out of context and doesn’t ask about it. It seems like the story is a reversal on the run-away troupe —instead of the wife it’s the husband now. Husband “cold duke of the north” goes on an expedition to subdue the monsters in the wild terrority and some massive monster comes out and the husband by all appearances sacrifices himself and gets sucked into a portal with the monster. There’s hints that he’s planned this becuase the wife who’s previously thought shes a scarecrow wife suddenly becomes a powerful duchess becuase of everything he’s handed to her. There’s hints that he’s cursed, hence why he’s never shared a bed with her and prehaps he’s afraid to have kids.
After reading the prologue,I thought it’s the wife who refuse to sleep with husband after hearing the convo ?? So it’s the other way around??
The husband doesn't appear or return until the last chapter, you are warned. It's a happy ending or happy side stories.
Idk,at least we know half of the novel are flashbacks,thanks to another user. If I remember correctly,the ending is him returning and both of them being in love with each other,and the last chapter of the side story is MC being pregnant with male lead child.

There are two guys in the cover having same face. Are they twins? I thought one brother took his place as a FL's husband after his brother's disappearance and that's why FL is confused. Smh my wild imagination
