Discussion My theory on how someone can uderstand the Dao of spacetime through opposing elements

Before you start reading, you should know it is a somewhat long post. Different oppinions are welcomed and if you think you have found a hole in my theory feel welcomed to corect me (as long as you don't swear).
Thanks for reading sorry for mistakes and sorry if I posted it on a wrong forum.
Now on to my theory,
Part 1 Why Fire and Water?
As we all have read on many novels every think started from Chaos and then Chaos was divided on Yin and Yang and from that comes the law of balance. So instead of seeing time and space as something mutually beneficial for each other, a cultivator should think them as opposing forces which try to negate each other. So in order for a cultivator to undestand them, he should first try and undestand some relatively easier element which oppose each other. It might work on other elements as well but I like the idea of fire and water.
Part 2 How can a cultivator gain understanding this way?
So recently I read a novel which said Fire is Space and Water is Time (of cource it wasn't in these words exactly), but I thought that if you take the element of ice from water and think its reactions with nature you see that it perserves anything that it touches, meaning it stops time hence it is the opposite of them. And if someone would take this train of thought a step further he could see that sealing someone in a specific moment of time, he would pretty much take time away from that moment and leave just space. So if a cultivator were to try find a common ground on it, he could say that "if I were to freeze space, I would pretty much stop time from entering that point of space". And now for the relation between Fire and Time, on the same train of though heat pretty much destroys, for example a piece of meat. And the way it destroys something is by meaking it go bad a lot faster if it isn't left somewhere cold. Another example is when someone, in movies and novels alike, makes a mistake, gets cursed and starts aging his flesh rots, much in the same way a piece of meats rots if it is left on the sun. And a last example is when someone breaks for a seal which cast him into nothingness the first thing they ask is how much time has passed for the people outside of the seal, because where he was there wasn't time why? because there wasn't also space, so the law of balance was broken and he didn't age or his powers progressed.
So in conclusion space is something that wants to expell time, and time is something that corrodes space.

If you know even a bit of science, you will know that space and time and related.
So there goes your theory.

 

I think it would help someone at least get a sense for spacetime and even if wrong it helps strike down wrong paths for futute cultivators.

 

What i reaaaally wanna know is: why does there even exist a law of darkness in most novels? it really should just be one law of light

Don't forget that the Great Sage Minkowski and his disciple Einstein unified the Daos of these two concepts...

 

I didn't say that they aren't related, just that their relation is more similar to water and fire.

 

They learn space, then time, and thus they have learned spacetime. They're not really opposing, because spacetime is a thing of which space and time are portions. Saying they're opposing is like saying sunlight and moonlight are opposing forces.

 

well, "a novel" isn't a great reference for insight into the dao for spacetime if you can't/won't name it.

and while fire and water are in sort a derivative of yin and yang, they are not inclusive or they would be part of the yin-yang dao itself.

It's easy to gain insights into lower dao's than it is to look into those higher ranked.

so sorry, but in my own opinion, your proposed method would fail to achieve any results.
