Which one is the strongest? It really depends on the authors. I mean cat can kill a dragon if the author wishes to write so

Given the right circumstances and situations anything can kill anything else.

Its all based on mythological stories and legends. For more information regarding them, you will need to delve deep into Chinese legends and mythological stories.

As for dragon and garuda, well dragon is a type of snake while Garuda is a type of eagle. Eagle and snake are mortal enemies as eagle loves eating snakes...so garuda also loves eating dragon

Foxes grow a tail every 100 years, and the more they have the stronger they are (the max is 9)

Here's a site if you wish to read up on Japanese mythology.

Most uses of mythological beasts come from myths and legends created hundreds of years ago. In them they talk about nine tailed foxes and garuda and so forth.

Unless you want to read published books focusing on a few myths or cultures and the creatures within them you might find wikipedia to you liking. They quite often have pages regarding most myths. E.g. Foxes

The strongest one is definitely big foot.

Dragon? Stomped. Peng? Stomped. Phoenix? Stomped. Packs of lego? Stomped.

My favourite mythical beast is gumiho/kumiho, it was based on korean folklore, it can also change it's own gender whenever it likes as a beautiful girl, handsome man, loli, shota or whatever else : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumiho , how about you all?

Well most of the novels might tweak some details ,regarding the mythical beasts, here and there but the main points should all be there.

Every mythology has its final Boss who is considered the strongest. Like Apophys in Egytian, Tartarus in Greek, Fenris in Norse, etc. In Hindu mythology, we actually worship he God of destruction Shiva, who is like the ender of the world. The Christians have something similar as well I assume. So the strongest in any myth is basically the one who ends up destroying the mythical universe.

Never read a cat killing dragon, but a mouse killing saint, immortal, and God. There is one called bebe.

The kitsune beats them all! Just look at the fairly new fox we find in "Maou-sama no Machizukuri!".

The Yuki-Onna is quite nice as well though...

I agree with you. And some "rat" can actually devour a God.

well, i love kitsune too but the first one i know is gumiho from Lost Saga rare heroes (my favourite hero), after that gumiho/kumiho become my favourite mythical beast... After that i learn about kitsune (in japanese, it's fox) but it was too late... Gumiho is still first in my list!
