Well, Photoshop is always a good bet, and I've also heard about SAI.

However, I'm not an artist in any way shape or form, so take my recommendations with a slightly large grain of salt.

    I would suggest CLIP STUDIOPAINT

Not too expensive, lifetime purchase, can make comics mangas animes animation... Anything you might expect, does same things as photoshop and far cheaper without anual pay

Sai is great too, great blending but software is considerably more basic...

LOL no i meant to say im here!!

I see that you will be using pen that belongs to PC, it might cause issues for some programmes, for example SAI, try newer ones!!

    Clip Studio Paint is bought
    https://www.clipstudio.net/en/

But you want free, GIMP is a free version of Photoshop its more complex.
Krita is very great i heard many people use it, along with Medibang

You can google all of them!!

Gimp is a free alternative to Photoshop. It's quite powerful but complex. Krita is another good alternative. I recommend krita personally
Sketchable and paint 3D are nice sketching software. You can download it for free from the windows store.
Inkspace is a really good graphic and design tool. It's also free
Medibang paint is good for comics and manga and is free too

    SAI
    ClipArt Studio
    Medibang

i recommend ClipArt...it's not too expensive. Many artists and mangaka used it, so you could easily find some tutorials.

i have ClipArt and Medibang tbh..but on diff PC. if you don't wanna purchase anything, you could use Medibang...whilst there is not as many 'Materials' as ClipArt, it is still passable. (i don't know what it's called, it's like plug ins, like brushes, patterns, tones, textures, etc....these things are more functional when you make manga using the software...i don't have problems with them since i rarely make manga)

Unless I missed it, you never said what it is you want to do with the software.

Each piece of software is good for some purposes and not so great for others. Telling us a bit about your intended uses would help to narrow down which software might make the most sense for you.
