Likely one of these 3 problems

What's the brand of your ram? Its model number? Price? Where did you buy. You probably got scammed. DDRM?

    Or

What's your motherboard? How many ram slots does it have? 4? Did you put it side by side? Is it dual channel or not? Did you put in the wrong slot? Is it compatible?

    Or

Probably one of the ram is damaged.

I have an ASrock B450 pro mobo, and only one stick of ram. In bios it said that I have 8gb with 7.5 available, but in system information I get this:
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8,00 GB
    Total Physical Memory 7,45 GB
    Available Physical Memory 2,62 GB
    Total Virtual Memory 12,7 GB
    Available Virtual Memory 6,45 GB
    Page File Space 5,25 GB

Thanks for the ram. But, how is it normal being able to use only 1/3 of ram?

Looks like all is fine then. It's normal, since it's doing its job.

if Available Physical Memory is 2.62 out of 7.45, that's roughly 35% left. a simple math shows nothing wrong with any of the percentage shown in your screenshot.

    ram3.jpg

    ram4.jpg

so windows actually did acknowledge you have 8GB of ram installed in your pc, only that it can't use 567MB of it.

if the amount of memory that's available to Windows is less than the amount of installed memory, that's because your computer reserves some memory for its own use, which makes it unavailable to Windows. there could be a lot of factors that leads to this.

btw, one should always go for 2 sticks of ram instead of 1, for modern systems. the performance difference is very noticeable, especially when it comes to gaming.

Are you running a RAM Disk or any type of RAM caching? I use 4 GB of my memory for a RAM disk to speed up load times in games that I play. If you look at your available memory with RAM caching enabled, it can display behavior similar to what you're experiencing.

I never enabled such a thing and this is a completely new build with a fresh install of windows 10 from their official site.
I do have an M.2 ssd but that is irrelevant.

i assume you missed my earlier post

normally, Hardware Reserved memory is not managed by windows. 'not managed' as in windows doesn't decide how many was in reserve. but there are some settings you can check first just make sure, before going other routes. (links below)

most often, large Hardware Reserved indicates incompatibilty. other times include old bios, which might be able to be fixed by updating the bios. otherwise, it might just be a setting in bios (try load defaults--save, or optimized default)

Will check the BIOS, but the mobo is brand new and also a newer model since it is for AM4 Sockets. Also I don't understand why would windows reserve 4gb of ram and sometimes even more
