Because people want to know which games got ripped off and turned into hentai games which play like the actual game, just have additional nonsense between it all or replacing the actual story with it.
Like how Crush Crush has a Nutaku version, which I discovered ages after I unlocked all the characters (when the original came out) and couldn't be bothered to play again even when the bear was introduced.

 

You can play Katawa Shoujo(VN) on Android if you haven't.
The port has it's problems but it's still playable
