To be honest, your RAM is rather limiting. 4GB is not much today. If you're into complex building games and are fine with simple graphics, you could give Factorio and Dwarf Fortress a look. You can sink some serious time in those two. Factorio is more about optimizing your production lines with little combat and Dwarf Fortress overall colony management. Be warned that Dwarf Fortress is ASCII graphics (graphical tilesets do exist), and it has a good ol' learning cliff. You really need a wiki open for that.
I know, that's why I'm prioritizing the processor and VGA when I bought my laptop, I could change my RAM later if I have the money so you could say it's just temporary
Dragon Age Origins can't use more than 2gb RAM unless you use some exe file thing. And it can sometimes crash if you use more than 2 CPUs so every time I play it I only use 2CPUs. Plus my PC is probably 7 years old by now so you should be able to play any of the games I recommended at least
Recommendation of Anomaly Series. You ain't gonna regret it. This following from the series itself: - Anomaly: Warzone Earth. - Anomaly: Korea. - Anomaly 2. - Anomaly defender. All from the same developer of "They are Billions", 11 bits studio. They have unique gamestyle, try it, it will be fun( maybe...). :3
Actually it's ported to PC and very well done too. It's sold on Steam. Still, to enjoy it, gamepad is preferable.
