Discussion Need your opinions

So, I dropped some novels and now I want to try picking it up again. The novels that I want to read again are Aganist The God (chapter 247), Shura's Wrath (chapter 90), and Close Combat Mage (chapter 218).
Is it worth my time to read it again?
Does the story gets better?

 

I think not but I don't know what you have read so it's hard to say. I would recommend Wang Yu novels if you haven't read them http://www.novelupdates.com/nauthor/wang-yu/ there are other good novels as well but I think ATG CCM are mediocre in all ways and Shura's Wrath might be good I haven't really decided yet but I think there are better novels out there.

 

Dude, you made it to chapter 218 of CCM?! Kudos to you, I couldn't read it anymore after chapter 30.

 

Atg stays almost the same and deteriorates at some places.
I never read SW coz its from the same author of ATG so I didn't have much hope from it.

 

i can't about the others, but i wouldn't read ATG again...

@SinCity if you want novel recommendations it's easier if you make the reading list public.

 

Atg is the ok if youre bored and have nothing to read.. I meen, its a pretty standard xianxia with repeatable damsel in distress quests.. not good or bad.
Shura's wrath is pretty ok. Its funny seing the mc's plot armor or exageration in his games.. you wont like it though if you apply standard balance in game mechanics and its logic.
Havent redt CCM yet.

 

I dropped Shura's Wrath precisely because of the extreme plot armor, guess I'm not picking it up anytime soon.

 

CCM it's the only one i don't recommend to pick up, for the other they are ok, but not realy the best novel you can find.

 

I don't know if the story gets better, but people keeps on saying that the real deal starts at chapter 250 and you're not far from it. Something about all the things he's achieved and the reputation he made for himself perished / got destroyed? I don't know I've still at chapter 160+ and I'll read it after I've caught up with ISSTH.

 

well at least wait for CCM until the Greater trade route campaign before picking it up again as it will be very slowed paced right now. He is still just starting to get a few comrades so the story is far from the good part yet.

CCM is a lot better if you pretend he is reincarnated from an all male world lol.

I like Shura's Wrath because solo MC are my thing, but the plot armor is thick (walls of Babilon-thick).
Yun Che gets more douchey.
CCM makes for some good comedy

 

I think you can try SW if you like politics and behind the scene actions as mystery is starting to set in latest chapters.

 

I dropped CCM because of the stupidity in military arc, I mean, how could a 300.000 strong army NOT attack a 100.000 man fort when all they needed to do is rain down arrows and most will be dead by then.
I dropped SW because of the plot armor is just too extreme.
Forgot why I dropped ATG, but there must be a reason, right ?

 

then you can forget about read CCM and SW again
CCM stupidity are duh...... forget it at least for current chapters translated, I just read for sake finish it
SW it's more thicker latter if oneday you just want to read about OP game character feel free to read it.
as for ATG since you don't remember why you drop it, you can read again just for spend boredom
