Personally I don't like netorare but I loved A Step into the Past, it wasn't forced or weird but quite natural. And just saying but most of the females in wuxia/xianxia or whatever would cheat on their husbands more than once, imagine that you are in love with a person but they started training for 1000 years without seeing them, god that's quite a bit of patience. In A Step into the Past there is, there are females in the story that ended choosing a different person while having a romantic relationship with the MC.
But in Coiling Dragon, that dude use his wealth to pull Alice from linley , and Alice does choose that dude.. Her regret only happens after linley become famous So, it must be NTR
