    I usually visit NU using Links.
    This updates removes the normal search box so I can't search from Links anymore.
    This means less reason for me to visit NU.

    *shudders at the sudden change to the UI he was perfectly happy with*
    *frowns slightly as he notices the new location of the search box, and the fact that it's in some weird sort of popup-like thing*
    Constructive criticism:
    • It looks kinda odd to have the alert bell as a solid icon, while the mail icon is not. It might be better if both of them adhered to the same theme.
    • Might try making the box around the "show search bar" button a little more subtle
    Also, I'm not sure if its just my imagination, or maybe my outdated browser of choice, but my avatar feels really tiny all of a sudden.

    is possible to keep using the previous search bar? or at least to have the cursor already inside the bar after clicking in search.

    btw, should be possible to use arrow keys to select novels from the search bar, like most sites do.
