Meltdown and Spectre let attackers access protected information in your PC’s kernel memory, potentially revealing sensitive details like passwords, cryptographic keys, personal photos and email, or anything else you’ve used on your computer.

    Someone found a way to exploit the cpu's predictive pipeline to pull potentially sensitive data. Intel processors seem to be the most at risk while the other cpu brands like AMD and your mobile phone's ARM processors may also be affected.
