It's not a big deal as it sounds, it just has the potential to be a big deal if taken advantage of in the future. Is your computer over 20 years old? Yes = safe No = panic
Someone found a way to exploit the cpu's predictive pipeline to pull potentially sensitive data. Intel processors seem to be the most at risk while the other cpu brands like AMD and your mobile phone's ARM processors may also be affected.
