Weirder than the people of the old NUF? The old NUF was fun but that was because it was small. Think about it! Almost every thread outside the novel section was hijacked, @fluffymigs was allowed to basically do whatever he wanted, @Potato who got 3k posts in a week (need confirmation), @Potato and his 'notice me senpai' posts (LOL), a lot of people were double/triple posting, hijacking groups that tagged each other to hijack threads, some guy that called himself the poll god and ended all of his sentences with '~jana' (lol sorry I had to. I'm really sorry ), and of course we had no rules. I'm not calling you out @fluffymigs and @Potato as I like you two . Of course this is just my opinion from what I saw as I was more active back then. I think it worked because it was small and everybody knew each other.

I'm surprised @remy911 and @Shio didn't rage quit on me because of my annoying carefree attitude when running NUF back then. When I asked @Shio to become a moderator, she kinda rejected the offer at the time but I pushed it onto to her anyways lol. Sorry @Shio, do you regret it?!

Right now, the userbase of NUF is a lot bigger than the 'Old NUF'. It would be weird if a few people you dislike didn't join. If NUF was perfect, there would be no need for moderators. Because of that, I know how annoying, stressful and tough it is for you and the other moderators at times to deal with some people. I know all of the moderators are fair so if you ever need me to get rid of someone, I can do it for you. I'm good with dealing with the haters so I have no problem with it!

That reminds me of our first conversation @Parth37955 which went something like this:
Parth37955: yo, NUF is trash and people are avoiding it (you said it in a nicer way).
Me: Help me clean it up? I'll make you a moderator
Parth37955: Sure

lol fun times.

 

To be honest, there was one time where I came close to it. (This was before Lachiel left). I forgot what it was that you did, but I remember thinking that you weren't really on "the side of the mods".

I had planned to silently quit NUF and just only stay on the NU side, but alas, I lack discipline.

In the end, as long as NU didn't go down the path of MAL (I haaaate yoooou and your shiiiitty unhelpful users), I was cool. (Not that I really do much. I'm quite fine with my low-profile-ness.) After awhile, I think I "got" how you worked.

Being a mod is also useful when pushing my BL and frilly romance agenda.

 

So here's the Story of How I Became A Mod:
I was in the NUF chat and was talking about the decline of order in NUF. I remember talking to Lachiel about getting more mods or banning more people (something like that). He tells me I wouldn't be able to become a mod, and I said I could. Anyways I go to @Tony Profile and ask him to make me a mod. His reply was: " ._. .-. ._." so something like that. His callus reply crushed my ambition.

Then a few days later, Lachiel quits as mod. I was somewhat fed up with how NUF was progressing so I sent @Tony a few PM's.

Then Tony bans an anarchist and...

(Cough* some people may argue I did become a power-crazied maniac)


Then the first thing we do is try to test out banning someone and @Shio stopping us .

 

I think I know what you're talking about but I feel like If I bring it up again, you're just going to hate me (again) for it lol.

Both sides are the real me. For the most part, I know when to joke around and when to be serious. I think.
