Yeah, so i'm new to anime scene.. never watched even single anime episode or so since it has never been interesting for me, but after reading novels here and there i was thinkin' of givin' it a try, but i'm looking for something special, with lone MC, no romance, action pack'd (Ruthless and strong mc is bonus). I hope someone can hook me up with couple good recommendations with these genres so i can get started on my route to become a weeb. Thääänks.
Code Geass A few years ago I showed my roommate (who knows next to no anime) about Shokugeki no Souma. He ended up an anime enthusiast after that. I suppose you might just be like him too.
Wow. No romance. That'll be a bit harder. There's Trigun... which is a great action adventure. The pretty recent Goblin Slayer which is literally a dude killing goblins. Cowboy Bebop does have some romance but it's great. Pretty much everything else I want to recommend has a lot more romance.
A rare anime noob huh? Lets see... you have to start in the late 90s with the "classics" such as Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Berserk. After that you have to watch one of the Space Opera series, either Gundam 0079 or Macross. Moving on to the 2000s, Ghost In The Shell Series , Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan, Black Lagoon, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Monster.
Wow. This is actually a whole lot harder than it seems. Is it sad that the only thing I could think of immediately was Fist of the North Star? Looking at stuff like Trigun and Cowboy Bebop (both definite favorites of mine and wonderful classics), I wasn't sure if the comedic tone was what you wanted. Maybe Darker than Black and Youjo Senki?
Death Note and Hellsing come to mind. Ghost in the Shell, Akita, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are classics in my opinion. Gintama is still my all time favorite though [comedy + action in one big package. Romance is implied though.]
I second Code Geass, Death Note and Darker than Black. You can also series like Wolf's Rain, Scryed and Shinsekai Yori.
Clannad and Clannad:Afterstory because I am an asshole and I like to imagine you crying yourself to sleep after that one scene on Afterstory
Dragon Ball is good for starters original focuses more on adventure while DBZ is more fight oriented but isnt a Solo MC many times. Cowboy Bebob is good, Trigun, Hellsing the original series and Hellsing Ultimate, Blue Seed is nice but has some romance involved. Gundam Wing, Akira, Ghost in the Shell both the movies and series. Gun Smith Cats, Macross Plus, Slayers series, Shadow Skill, Blood Reign: Curse of Undead Youma. These are all older anime but good ones. Also Lupin the Third
Natsume Yuujinchou and Mushishi dont meet your requirements but i reccomend them if you're into supernatural stuff. Also Mutsu Enmei Ryuu Gaiden: Shura no Toki if you're into pure fighting anime with some romance.
