2-3 hours ago, a certificate issue for firefox has caused all add-ons to stop working and for add-on installs to fail.
According to Mozilla support forum, the issue relates to the expiry of a digital certificate used to sign many (read: a ton) of popular add-ons for firefox. As such, the security and verification systems of firefox disabled every add-on using that certificate. The firefox add-ons team is working on a fix but ETA is unknown. Also unknown is when re-signed versions of the add-ons may be released.

FF users, please be aware and very careful until the issue is fixed. Some third party extensions are also affected.

    Chrome’s so smooth and modrernized.
Firefox gives me old time vibes lol

I use firefox for the simplicity and relative lightweightness for most browsing. I do, however, use Chrome for browser-based games like ArmorBlitz because Chrome handles gaming so much better than firefox

That is why i always wait a week between a update announcement that pops up from any software.

Many bug fix are more on performance rather than security any way.

this isnt update related. It's due to an expired certificate used for add-ons.

How the duck can you forget about updating the certificate Mozilla?

Welp there's a workaround i found (if you got the bug)

    Shut down Firefox
Press [Windows Key]+[R] → Type in %APPDATA% > click OK
    (C:\Users\***USERNAMEGOESHERE***\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\eknvp9aw.default)
    Open extensions.json with Notepad++
Replace all instances of "appDisabled": true with "appDisabled": false
Replace all instances of "signedState":-1 to "signedState":2
    Save and start browser
Disable and re-enable all extensions in about:addons

I Tried it and it works...... I used to be a big Firefox fanboy until the day they limit the ability to customize the browser. :blobpensive:

Welp I'm enjoying using Vivaldi (Not Recommended for Potato Desktops and Laptops) for now.... :aww:

In the near future Google Chrome will release an update which will limit the ability of Adblockers resulting in breakage of functionality (PS. Seriously not joking about this)..... R.I.P Google Chrome and Chrome based browsers
