How do you come up with nicknames? Do you even use nicknames? Are you that one person that gives everyone silly nicknames? Are you always on the receiving end of those silly nicknames? What's the most random or interesting nickname you have given/experienced? Also what do you think about the nickname Foofpan? (Yes I made it. It devolved from fluff and pancakes.) I ask all these questions because I need to up my nickname game. Perhaps there is an ancient technique I am not aware of... A special move that will obliterate my friend's dignity while also being catchy. The Abyssal ones, please enlighten me.
Nickname ~ Well, I give my close friend nickname but they can't give me a nickname cuz it's too hard for them (said from my friends ) And Foofpan is quite okay, I would use FluffPan tho
Ouija board. Might get me possession bonus, but that's not my problem. Or you can just mix n match words from any other languages that you fancies, to the point it sounds completely alien enough?
*remembers @in_awe deciding to call me fat fluff* *shrugs* nicknames are weird, some seemingly completely random, some for something special(from names, nationalites, appearance, you name it), something that occured in the past and is a distinctive memory for that group of friends, and the list goes on and on xD It just has to "fit" and not sound too weird or insulting
There is an ancient technique for giving nicknames. That technique is called natural talent. Aint that right nick enma?
I got few nicknames while young. Platys, Kamikaze, Little Evil are few. Always nice to use them as names online
For those who decided to use their uno reverse card: I'm good! Was out from school on Wednesday and Thursday because I'm sick so I was able to relax and play vr which left me in a good mood. It was also fun today because it snowed a little here and all the students were flipping out like they had experienced the highest blessing from RNGesus. Sadly, the snow gave way to rain and we still have classes today.
Fluffpan ftw!!! But that mostly cuz i am a true follower of the fluff Foofpan is k i guess, but it brings me a image of a MLP character.....
Hmm I guess nicknames also depend on cultural reference or phonetics too. My irl nickname used by my family is something like "biscuit" because of the way they abbreviate my name but I never use it anywhere else because it doesn't make sense lol
As for nicknames.....mine has evolved from Zero(as in I used to use that one) yo this(and variations with H inside, katshu) to the current one i use on some online games (Alexanders Saintsworth).... As for impetus for evolution i just follow dem lulz.....
I give people I'm friendly with nicknames if they don't mind it. It's normally just a shortened version of their name. Probably the person who was best at making 'mean' nicknames was the middle sibling. They nicknamed our close friend Oompa after the oompa-loompas and it stuck with them all through high school.
Nicknames are usually given based on the person's own name or part of their 'personality'. Ai-chan was called 'Dancing Babe' 舞孃 back in school because Ai-chan just loved dancing everywhere. One of Ai-chan's closest friends was called 'Titties' (nenen in Hokkien) because her tits were big. Waiwai said back in school she was called 'Milk Cow' because her titties were very big even back then. One of the girls in college was called 'Bicycle' because she spread her legs for anyone. One of the dudes in college was called 'Burn' because his name was 'Bakar' (bakar means burn in Malay)
