So, I am starting to play NieR automata on PC. But the prolog is horribly designed. Can't save the file before beating that massive boss. Problem is, my game crash before beating the boss. Its frustrating. I have playing it like 40 minutes, SIX times and it's always crash. At least let me save, but they decided to be a dick. Ok, stop for the rant. Anyone has savefile after beating the the first boss?
Are you playing the Steam version? If so, are you using an AMD graphics card? if you answered yes to those questions then try using an older driver instead. It's a known issue that the game sometimes crashes on the latest AMD drivers but works perfectly on older ones.
i am using AMD and its works fine, no lag whatsoever. but its indeed crash a lot. I am using Radeon Crimson 16.6 Should i lower the driver version?
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-art...re-Crimson-Edition-16.11.5-Release-Notes.aspx Use this driver, it works perfectly.
Sooo just saying but that horribly designed prolog as you call it is kinda a signature feature in the series where saves are deliberately far apart
Hey I'm not judging. If it really is steam then the problem is on your end, but i know that the pirated version of NieR has CTD issues.
well, i would not said that as horribly design if my game didn't crash. But, life sad, and its always crash before i beat the boss....its just frustating to keep playing same level because its crash and i cant save
well at least the game not crash after 6 hours of playing... I remembered playing FF7 and the game keep crashing during event at 1st Gold Saucer... that's almost 1/4 of the game already..
You could also try running the game as admin, some games have save issues if you don't give them admin rights (on win10) if they're installed in the program files folder
How does the fact that your computer crashes during a boss fight make the prologue 'horribly designed'?
Cant save before beating boss is horribly design... Well i won't said that if i didnt crash or they let me save before
The boss isn't hard at all, it's like a tutorial boss. The entire first part of the game is a cakewalk so I don't think it's a problem that you can't save at certain points, if anything its nice that they actually do it a bit differently. if you want to be coddled through the entire playthrough then play something else. 'The (essentially) tutorial is designed horribly because there isn't save points'. It's a tute.
