Sigh, i pre-ordered a physical copy and then noticed i could've already been playing had i gone digital as it released at midnight. For anyone looking to get into the mood, have some Nier Automata soundtrack as it'll no doubt be similarly impressive in Replicant. Nier Automata was one of the games i bought for cheap when i didn't know what to play and i was blown away, both feels and my free time. The story connecting these titles is extremely convoluted, with multiple ending routes and previous titles but i can't wait to find out more of the Replicant lore. Hoping they'll redo previous titles eventually as i missed out on the entirety of Drakengard.
There's actually a good amount of 2B cosplay pr0n on PH. Ha, i nearly did cry at some points, though i can't recall which ones. Just finished route B, was hard to get out of bed today, lol.
Aaah, not so far in my case. Just need to finish The Aerie and I can finish the B Route. So far, it's still alright, no tears yet. Though I fear the next.
A is like the bland walkthrough where there's no context yet, but then it's time for the ouchies. Oh well, it's not all depressing, there's just points where the perspective shifts around so much you're like 'oh no'.
A is actually good, IMO. Like the story flows well, there's a certain lack of information, but it's not that bad. Though, A alone would not be worth the 60 bucks for sure. The only thing I want right now is to be able to go back to Part 1 as I forgot to do plenty of quests... <.< I am soon done with all quests of part 2, but I don't know when we will be able to go back to part 1.
You won't. You'll always start back in part 2. And i'm not saying A is bad, it's just the 'bare bones' of the story, and it'll get fleshed out intensely. (although not as far as automata). Luckily the side quests aren't important anyway, they just give gold, all weapons are accessible through shops or finding them. Although i do hate being stuck around 70% quest completion lol.
Damn, this is painful. Yeah, that's right. Well, some quests do give weapons as rewards so they do are important... and about the quest completion, I am about the same, I have 3 quests left to do and am at 66%. xD
Harder mistress, punish me!~ Anyway, SJW are going nuts over this already. @ gamefaqs Spoiler: kaine background Don't get me started on the gender discussions about Kaine. With the gay community going all like it's intersex and how 'old people' call it hermaphrodite Funny how these people generalize groups in their defense of 'important things' while nobody is forcing them to play the game. p.s. weapons will be available later in the store if you missed a quest for it.
Anyway, make sure you don't look anything up or go on forums, people are going spoiler crazy now as they're reaching certain parts of the game.
I've already arrived at the existential depression stop. Going to take a break since it's all done now, but i'll start looking into the previous games lore, lol. Drakengard 3 at least.
Drakengard 3 and 1 are the most important, iirc. (The former, much more than the latter) For some reason, Drakengard 2 is isolated, timeline-wise.
Yoko Taro had a terrible experience on the first part, with deadlines and rushwork, lack of budget etc. He refused to work on it again. He didn't come back to it until part 3. He's pretty much the main lore canon decider.
