I seriously don't get the hate in this chapter. I mean the plot make perfect sense. The "Heavens" hate "Divergent". The "Heavens" in this story is also a character. So this almighty godlike character called "heavens" wants to screw up our mc, it tries to strike him with lightning when advancing, it put him to dangerous situation where he was always close to dying, and now he failed the test because the heaven are playing a trick with him putting him into an impossible task of defeating this old monster using the rules of the sect against him. Tu Fang decided to change the rules a bit because it's simply too unfair but the our mc still failed based on the rule. It's like a warning that it's the heavens will for him to fail and challenging that will would only incur it's wrath. It's already a stated fact that "Divergent" don't live that long because the Heavens never let them live. It's the same way when you see in other wuxia story when breaking a vow to the heaven would result to retribution. Heavens will is a real entity in most wuxia stories. It's just kinda infuriating to see all the hate when even the translator themselves explain the chapter
Wait till the "chosen" ones start to appear and how in fights the "heavens" will denied energy towards the MC and give their full support and even buffing their abilities against the MC. This is the only novel where we truly see MC Against The Heavens. In Every part of the story or world building, anything that got to do with the "heavens" will go against the MC. Heck, even the lucky encounters the heavens will fuck with the MC. Like, when there's that Arc of everyone going to a mysterious realms you will see the enemies of the MC getting lucky encounters and making breakthroughs because they are the "Heaven's Favorite" while the only way the MC get "lucky encounters" is through brute force or just straight out destruction. There will be one Arc where u will see the "Heavens" purposely playing favorite and forbidding the MC from getting anything, so the MC say "Fuck it! I destroy everything and no one will get benefit!" And he went on a spree of unadulterated destruction. So yes, this is the only novel where it doesn't matter if the MC can suppress his enemies, it doesn't matter if he is a level higher more powerful (battle power, he will always be lower Ranked than everyone) the heavens will "save" the enemies and not only that but make them have breakthrough after the Battle so that they may have a hope to defeat the MC. The only way the MC can go around this is to without doubt overpower not only the enemy that is already a genius capable of power-jumping but the Heaven's Luck that is constantly against. Only with True overwhelming power can he kill his rivals and heaven's favorite enemies.

Also, another point. He builts a TRUEEE FUCKING ARMY. Like not some guys he share some resources and help develop but he share his Heaven Defying powers. Like u know the Dragon Powers he got? Yes, he will share that Dragon Technique to his whole ARMY and built a Dragon Blood Legion that sgare his same hatred against the heavens. He trained them to not fear the heavens and purposely go against them in every breakthrough. He also steal from the heavens and gift them the "properties" of Heaven Genius. These aren't spoilers as unless u read it you still won't understand but be sure to sit down and understand that this is the most cliche of all xiaxian novels but at the same time most original because the author purposely go out of his way to go further than what other authors do with their cliche. An example will be his Pill Sovereign memories. U know hoe normally these plot devices are use for the MC and the MC only in novels like this, right? So in this story, the author say "Fuck it! why not develop a while fucking army with these Ancient and Immortal Pill Recipes!" and he does. The MC makes sure that every single member of his legion is capable of power-jumping because of the Pills he refined and make them have the perfect foundation for the later realms. And that was before he share his Dragon Blood Refining Technique. Now they all can become like the MC and turn half-human and half-dragons. Overall, the most hype parts of the novel is the Wars that the legion goes with the MC because this truly encapsulated the whole theme of "War Against The Heavens" Is sad how some people dismissed because of the cliches and generic plots but none give them the opportunity to show how great these cliches and plots can be use if one author just become nore creative and goes beyond than what most do. so enjoy!
