I think it was meant Francia, not France. They have similar names, but a different society. You can google if if you want to know for sure, but although my history is rusty, i'll try to briefly explain the difference: The Franks were pretty much nomad barbarians from all over, united together with the sole purpose of pillaging the Roman Empire. Once Rome fell and its riches were plundered, the now wealthy nomads decided it's too much of a hassle to carry all that loot moving around and risk getting robbed, so they settled on those lands instead. Inspired by their victory over the Romans, they built their defences in a new empire of their own and pretty much ruled most of Europe for quite a few centuries, occasionally raiding neighbours to remind them who's boss and get loot. However, the comfort of nobility turned them into lazy bums and the empire fell apart into several kingdoms. France, inhabited by the French was one of those kingdoms. Despite their large land grab, they were weak and as such constantly invaded and defeated. Their only saving grace was that they had the Germanic kingdoms defending their eastern borders from nomadic hordes and the Spanish duking it out with the muslims in the south. If not for the vikings keeping them busy, the Brits would've conquered their ass over and over again. So yes, the French are a disgrace to their ancestors and their strength always was merely a deception. Thank you
