There's no romance involving the MC, most romantic subplots are portrayed as inappropriate considering the era (Qing Dynasty) or outright brainless. The MC is really smart and knows how to make people do what she wants, her ultimate goal is to set things right so the Qing Dynasty doesn't end up going downhill because of lovestruck idiots. Honestly, this novels is one of a kind.
