Recommendations No multiple skills

So basically, I wanna read a novel where the MC either just focuses on 1 or few skills/spells/techniques. I don't want the kind of novel that has that skill assimilation that contains tens of skills (mostly JP and KR novels), nor do I want those novels where the MC keeps on switching techniques depending if he/she finds a new and better skill (mostly CN novels).

 

but for the last part isnt it logical that you would switch if you found a better version of your skill?

 

Doesn't matter if it's logical or not, as long as it makes the novel interesting, then your logic goes to the trash.

 

So basically you want a novel where the MC evolves the skill he has instead of replacing it with a new one?

Then just grab random isekai JP novel. They basically only have one pool of skills where they keep leveling them up.

 

Actually i`d like it if the first skill/spell he ever learns becomes the strongest in za world like ... :
Wow fireball, just a beginner technique, trash after xx level, or after xx cultivation stage, but ohh noo, it actully is so much stronger ... bla bla bla ? cuz it controls temperature, that actually controls bonds between elementary particles, but in fact it controls the entire universe ... ^_^

For example, the MC learns that he can release flames and ice, but he then learns that he can control temperatures, HE THEN learns that he can actually accelerate and decelerate movement of particles, HEEEE THEEEN learns that he can actually control time!!!

Thats totally contradictory to what you asked... Thats like dropping the fire technique when he learned how to control time....

But if you really wan an mc that is commited to one element, Close Combat Mage. Good luck on liking that one...

I'm really a Superstar - he has one skill and keeps on improving it throughout the novel, faceslapping.

 

I think what he meant was, not finding and using techniques and switching them out but actually learning new things by increasing your understanding of your current cultivation system. Imagine someone learning a fire punch, but then being like hey i can control the heat in the punch, what happens if i subtract all heat and ends up with a frozen punch or something similar.
Instead of dropping fire punch for scorching sun punch and then infinite flame hell punch etc.
So, an actual xianxia as opposed to xuanhuan. Where understanding plays a bigger role than the 'technique' you find.
