It'd have to be pretty thick stew to not soak right through a tortilla. If it was though, I'd try it. I'd probably get all over me, but I'd try it

 

Shouldn't you be able to just "drink" a soup or stew from a bread bowl, especially if it's long like a baguette or roll rather than circular?

 

Its more about the stuff in the stew. Stews are more about their contents than the liquid. Of course, if you don't mind drinking the soup first and then eating the rest, then that would probably work, but then you're not getting the true stew experience. I expect there's a good chance you'd get very messy too.

 

Ive had Ivar’s clam chowder in a bread bowl, and it gets absorbed quick. You end up noshing on the bread bowl soon enough.

 

I wonder if she'll get dragged into any of the competitions.

If she's worried that the sword will be too big, then why not just give him a bastard sword so that he could use both hands until he was strong enough to use it one-handed? He's still growing after all. A sword that's one-handed to him now will probably be too small or light for him later.

No offense, but while her horses/carriage can be loosely counted as robots/machines, I don't think that they quite qualify as large... Not to mention, they aren't the focus of the story. I always try to use Knights & Magic or the Gundam series as a standard for mecha

Sure, you can say that there is a mecha in this series, I don't think that this series itself is mecha genre, since the mechas are neither the focus nor the central concept of this series...
The MC traveling somewhere does not necessarily make said story an adventure genre novel.

Why are they so worried she'll be recognized? She's more than capable of dealing with the problem with force if he tries to assert himself as her guardian in spite of her being just as old as the other kids who are already out on their own adventuring. Sure, it'll be a bother, but that's about it.
