This novel is suggested (and soon to be picked up) by @SummerX (so dont forget your tissues >.>) Also there here is the first chapter by someone else https://tieba.baidu.com/p/2989354289?pn=1 Mathematics is the field for geniuses. Only weirdos that can no longer be satisfied by mathematics will touch cryptography. Some say, it was the cryptographers that brought victory to the world war two. They were the weirdos among the geniuses. They broke the enemy’s riddles from the radio signals, and grasped the Nazis by their throat. They remained anonymous. They belonged to the cryptography institute of British Secret Intelligence Service, MI6. Spoiler It’s okay to pursuit your lover, but dear Alan Caster, it’s not the best idea to follow him to the cryptography institute of MI6. It’s even a worse idea when the guy you’re after is the boss of the intelligence service, Garcia. And the worst idea, Alan, was to think about dumping him once By the way, in order not to flip anyone’s ship, the protag of the story, Alan Caster, is the uke. Warning: Possibly angst ending? angst..... I'll only be a passersby than ~ anyone ahh gimme some danmei fluff, I want fluffy romance.. with no exaggerated drama about misunderstanding
So, from the summary, Alan actually managed to date the seme? And then wanted to dump him? Is there enough sweetness for the angst? And, and, is the ending really HE??? I can withstand some angst if the ending is happy and satisfying enough (sweet enough)
There are sweetness before it There is really no drama or misunderstanding, but it's ww2 and related to cryptography in intelligence service, so it's naturally hard to trust anyone(not between the uke or seme, tho, they are the best lovers; but they need to deal with the war). Blame the world with all the angst(and Churchill) There aren't a lot of juicy contents. Just a good story with interesting cryptography stories and a cool couple. Since this is the spoiler thread.. Spoiler: ending? I can tell you I was pissed at the author ("how can you call this a happy ending?!") but Spoiler: ending Alan and his lover lived happily together at the end Spoiler: but it was after Alan had forgotten everything happened in the novel I honestly don't remember the dumping part LOL they are a very cute and loving couple. They trust and support each other as lovers and colleagues. They are both math genius and only with their combined intelligence can the allies win the war. There are a lot of sweetness in the story (ML2 is sweet too). The ending is, however, not satisfying. Blame the British government! I mean, ww2, cryptography, England, Alan.....it's almost foreshadowed isn't it? The ending is best described as "candy made of broken glass pieces"(a CN internet slang)...if you ignore the cuts on your tongue, it can be sweet.
why did this remind me of Cold Sand bc of the war stuff? just remember Cold Sand and i'm ready to cry
As an engineer, I'm loving the math/crypto stuff. But angsty stories... I'm still traumatized by the last chapter that I PR-ed for Summer.
I'm in fear of the angst (n uneasy ending?) but I won't mind the spoilers n translations tho (after it stockpiles)
OMG is this perhaps the story of Alan Turing? Shit, need to stock up tissues for this one! I LOVE the premise of this one, it's really intriguing... But that supposedly HE ending... Oh gosh... Will I survive this? *still click watch thread*
