I'm searching for a novel/original novel where the mc fights for humans rights (or other intelligent beings/ beings who posses a conscience). I'm not interested by some dumb character who knows only about how to have war and ignore the basic human rights. For example, what I want to read is about a mc that trully believes in human rights and try to implement them in a correct and solid way, not just by siding with a concept like 'allowing' diversity. There are few novels in which the mc tries to 'fight' for the opressed but.. In the end he/she offers them an apparent freedom, one where he's still the center - whitouth his existence, his 'kingdom' will crumble. Close to my request could be The log of a crazy lich (?) or Gong Hua (translated by Giraffecorps), but, still.. I'm trying to search for something like the books wrote by Karl May. And i've had read Great Tang Idyll &The great merchant Dao Ming. Thank you!
You will be very hard pressed to fine that here. Maybe japanese novels. Doubt you will find a chinese translated or korean one. Edit: http://www.novelupdates.com/series/garudeina-oukoku-koukoku-ki/ This is the closest I could find.
Hehe true, cdlevit only asked for the rights of sentient beings though. Something that resembles 'Human Rights' (something we ourselves do not follow).
Those novels are actually quite rare. It isn't just a matter of what authors write, it also has to do with how popular such novels are as well. That said, there are a few that have parts that are close to what you're interested in. The best one I can think of would be: http://www.novelupdates.com/series/genjitsushugisha-no-oukokukaizouki/ But others are also: http://www.novelupdates.com/series/hachinan-tte-sore-wa-nai-deshou/ http://www.novelupdates.com/series/konjiki-no-moji-tsukai/ http://www.novelupdates.com/series/otoko-nara-ikkokuichijou-no-aruji-o-mezasa-nakya-ne/ http://www.novelupdates.com/series/skeleton-knight-in-another-world/ http://www.novelupdates.com/series/world-teacher-other-world-style-education-agent/ There may be others, but if so I'd also like to find them~
definitely not Shielbro and Bocchi Tenseiki i can only think Arifureta, where MC turn a peace loving rabbit tribe into Murderous Sociopath Cunni Assassin so they can be saved and save others
In every novels, human is always right. Even gods are wrong if confront with human! In real life, this statement still holds true. Human's rights? It exists only in Euthopian people's dream.
Makoto doesn't really fight for any race's right, he only takes some races to Asora for a better life .... the one fighting for their right is actually the demon race
Release that Witch Ah someone beat me to it. good novel about a prince with a modern day thinking in a medieval fantasy era
