A picture speaks louder than a thousand words.Do You agree? After 2 years, I will finally be able to start doing comics. After reading I am The Sorcerer King, my first action comic in years. I felt excited for comics for the first time in a long time. https://www.asianhobbyist.com/announcement/novel-vs-comics/
Can't stand the comics these days. They're generally more of a supplemental visual aid than a standalone. It's best to read the novel and get the whole story before looking at the pieces they've decided to draw. I feel sorry for the characters that don't even get mentioned just to save a few frames.
I write fanfic and draw doujinshi. My experience is that comics and novels are entirely different animals. The different media has their own strengths and weakness. The same story can be great in one media and boring in another. Overall I find action lends itself better to comics and inner monologue heavy stories is better in nocel form
Almost all of the time, the novel is better than the comic Comics always leave way too many details out It is nice sometimes to read the comic after you've read the novel and see it come to life though
