I read this book ten years ago or more on a fan-translated website. Can't remember the title but it was really good and a very good translation too. It started off with a general who won some battles and attributed a little of his success secretly to having been given a prophecy from a strange visitor. Who didn't age? It seemed to be set in a real Chinese historical time period (Five Kingdoms I think). Then there was a young woman who was, I think, a servant or maid at first, became a trusted advisor and maybe a mistress of a lord or general? She also maybe got some advice or met this strange guy who had prophecies and didn't age... Then it turned out he was a dragon, I think, and possibly an alien pretending to be a dragon, and maybe time traveled. Can anyone remember what it was? I think the author's name started with Xi or Ji and I think that the book had a female author. The translator said she was his favorite Chinese science fiction author, I think.
