Request novels, qidian, extra chapters, ss

so on qidian the chapters, those you have to unlock with ss, are not showing up on novel updates. And i have to go on webnovel to check for new chapters, so i was wondering if those chapters were gonna ever show up on novel updates or could u please make them appear on novel updates pleaassseee.

No. Adwall doesn't need an account. Spirit stone wall does. NU does not list paywalled/account walled chapters.

I hope nu will show those chapter and make a filter, so those who hate qidian would not be bothered by it.

@Tony needs to change his policy. The only reason that I could think of why current policy exists because NU does not want to be accused of supporting piracy(there might be other reasons). Since Qidian is an official translator site, they should be exempted from this. Of course, if other reasons are still against Qidian, then we have to just deal with it.

 

If Tony allows paywalled chapters on NU, wouldn't that be free advertising for QI's "products" in some sense? Why would NU have to do that and let QI's products get exposure without anything in return?

 

The root of novel translation community is fan translation which from fans to fans without money in between. patreon wall and qidian spirit stone chapters are pay to read.

That's just naive. This community has become big. Without money, it'll collapse on its own weight. Also, while patreon is in the gray area, Qidian is completely in the white area.

Who cares about trust. I just need NU to feel convenient to me when I use it. That's why I'm asking for the policy to be reconsidered. It's something that can be changed.

NU doesn't link to e-book releases by yen press (I don't know if they make e-books tbh, but they wouldn't be linked anyway), it shouldn't link to Qidian's releases either.

NU earns from ads, and it's not a small amount.

Tony is a programmer, and AFAIK self-employed, making sites like NU is his job, not his hobby.

... It was more of his hobby when he made it to get Coiling Dragon updates I guess, but this was a long time ago.

That's the whole reason why I want tony to reconsider his policy. He's the policymaker, he can change that if he wishes to.

I'm quite confident in my memory, and I've spent around half an hour to find the post where he said that but I've failed. My bad.

People seemed to misunderstood me.

All I want is that NU can be used just like before. It's hard for me to keep track of novels separately.







Saying that paywalled chapters is a form of advertisement is unacceptable since the the free chapters of the same novels would still be posted on NU. You're still promoting the site that hosts the novel.

Not posting paywalled chapters from official sources is not a logical move, but rather a move to not butthurt those who don't have the luxury to spend money on novels.
