Recommendations Novels That Can Pull People Into More Novels

So I've got this new friend and I wanna pull him into reading novels. He says he has a short attention span that's why he isn't too much of a reader. I'm determined to pull him our abyss so what do you think I should recommend?

He needs something not boring. that's the only thing that's important.

PS Not Invisible Dragon cause it might scare him away or something.
PSS I've realized that I read too much BL that I cannot think of anything non BL to recommend to him.
PSSS I am so not good at this.

I can say that it is not boring, but it might not be the best fit novel for this occasion

 

• Coiling Dragon (westernized cultivation novel for those unfamiliar with CNs)
• To Be a Power in the Shadows! (LOL, addictive, action-packed, fast-paced, chuuni)
• Yoraikun's oneshots (for maximum effect on those with limited attention spans)
• The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor (if he's curious about VR)

Praise the Orc, Korean novels tend to be shorter than Chinese ones as the chapter count might be daunting, that said i think this would be a good starter novel

Or maybe get him started on a comedy novel with short chapters such as Side Character Transmigrations: The Final Boss is No Joke or Library of Heaven's Path

 

Cultivation Chat Group, Top Management could be a good start

But, I would recommend generic novels for new readers- it will teach them about qi, 'your father' dialogues, etc. Etc. You can start with zhanxian or something similar

Against the Gods, Tales of Demons and Gods, Coiling Dragon

 

Oneshots are the best for pulling people into reading more. There's tons of them translated by Shinsori and Yoraikun.

There are plenty of good short stories in English too. Stories like The Lady with the Dog are short but still very interesting to read.

For more full novels try some of the action-packed Korean ones since there are quite a few nice ones that have been completely translated.

Action, ACTION, and is pretty interesting throughout til that watermelon thing. Thats where i dropped it.

Unless hes a complete perv then giv him something like Road to Kingdom

I think it would be better to consider which genre he/she likes. From my experience, my brother's started to like reading novel since I recommend him reading Tales of Demons and Gods manhua, then its novel. And now, he is into Against the Gods and has asking me for more recommendations..

- Kumo Desi Ga Nani Ka (action, fantasy, comedy)

- Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (romance, drama, historical)
Actually, I think Top Management is also quite good for female readers.. (sorry for not giving links)
