Recommendations Novels where the MC is from the enemy race or similar

Preferably non human or humanoid (lol duh )

I’ve read stuff such as The King’s Game and Death Mage and really enjoyed those

not where he Mc is essentially human but has a fat ‘I’m not your race’ label and that’s all (ex: Mc is technically a zombie but due to them being special they don’t eat humans and can talk and don’t look different and act completely human... isn’t that just being human with a zombie label???)

They don’t have to be evil or anything just not trying to desperately pretend they’re human when they’re obviously not

Also I really like ones where the protagonist is the final boss but that’s hard to find so it’s okay

Did you cry because of how horrible the ending was lol

 

Made me really curious to start reading it again. Stopped reading when the romance was starting to catch steam. It just seems force and really stupid. It was foreshadowed but the girl is completely useless. They don't really have much interaction and the girl is basically used as a prop and trophy for the mc.

 

Lol kinda. I was really mad at the ending but I was sad about the Mc because I actually liked him and his situation of self sacrifice got my feels. I thought the leviathan part was cool but after that... I don’t even know. I have no pity for the love interests... I don’t like harems and I didn’t like how the romance turned out. Some books are just better without romance. I thought the concept and plot of the book was really fun and I enjoyed reading it but the ending just kinda happened? It had such a good start for me and I was really enjoying reading it but I was disappointed and surprised it even ended like that, as it seemed like with the pace of the novel there was a lot more potential...? If that makes sense?
If you want to pick it up again I say ignore the girls harems and It makes the story easier.
What’re your thoughts?
