I am looking for Super-Hero type novels. But I can be a bit more broad than that. What i am looking for is books that have a world with people who have Super Powers or any equivalent of characters each having their own unique ability. The most apt comparison I can make for what I am looking for would be either Super Powereds by Drew Hayes or Forging Hephaestus which is also by Drew Hayes. These books have a world that is filled with those who have unique powers. Another similar one would be the Ex-Heroes series by Peter Clines. For those of you who only read stuff on this site, Skyfire Avenue has a similar feel to what i am going for. Though i would like to avoid Xianxia if possible, if it is anything like Skyfire Avenue i would take the recommendation. I am open to anything from this site, Audiobooks, Ebooks and even rrl. Though if you are recommending something from rrl please make sure it isn't dropped as so many of them are. I won't read something unfinished. Thanks in advance for any and all help!
Yup, definitely fits the parameters. Though i dropped that novel cause i found the MC to be a walking Trope and boring as hell. Brandon Sanderson not writing another Epic Fantasy. I'm intrigued, and will check it out. And, i am unfortunately boycotting Qidian otherwise i would continue with this novel.
Added to the list, seems cool. Added It does, but i am also looking for good recommendations from other places too. Hence the thread.
Well, first of all, +1 for Worm Then Legion of Nothing Brennus The Whatley Academy Universe (basically a lot of authors, writing fictions in a school similar to the X-Men school) Defection Stoneburners On Kindle Unlimited Arsenal - Full Metal Superhero Born a Queen Wearing the Cape (and sequels) Some kind of hero I could list more but those should work for now Edit, looked a little more http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3033/breaking-syd short, dropped but oh so worth it Frozen Soul http://frozensoulandotherworks.blogspot.de/2016/06/tales-of-void-traveler-introduction-and.html
I have to recommendations that fit the "Superhero" Criteria, but might not fit the Skyfire Avenue comparison (admittedly, I haven't read much of Skyfire Avenue, but still). Both are webnovels. The first is Reject Hero. In a world where people can randomly get superpowers, the MC of this story, who was given the Super-moniker of "Strangest" has a Superpower which transforms him into a form that is seemingly immortal and can knock people out with a touch. The downsides are, whenever he takes this form, everyone around him wants to kill him, and he can easily be startled into transforming. This story is complete Author's version of a Synopsis: Reject Hero is the story of Zeke Collins, a middle-aged man who acquires powers and abilities beyond those of normal men, becoming part of the superhuman community. He wants to be a hero, but his peculiar powers are not exactly hero material. The heroes don’t want him on their side, not after he activates his powers near them in a fight. Everyone hates him when he uses his powers, even villains. Civilians hate his alter ego so much, they forced a name on him that he can’t escape. This is the story of the super-person, ‘Strangest’. The second is called The Vespidian. It's the story of a girl who, after coming out of her parents basement for the first time in a few years, goes for a run and, after circumstances and a bad decision, ends up jumping into a puddle of glowing green goop. She then turns into a Superhero... okay, fine, she's a creepy looking bug lady who can't show her face in public without the public causing issues for her and calling her a monster purely on her appearance. And that was the best result possible, as the other thing the glowing green goop could have done was turn her into a ball of cancer that melted itself towards the planet's core. This story is Dark with Comedic Elements. It starts off dark, and shows lighter elements partially to contrast, or set up, future the darker bits. Author's Synopsis is too long.
Lolz seems like worm has a cult effect.. Almost everyone is recommending it... Hmm obligatory mention: Invisible panda
Damn, thanks guys. These are the types of Novels you just have a real hard time finding on your own. Will definitely check some of these out. Reading all the synopsis' now.
