At first I interpreted this as what novels each country's demographic prefers...

Back on topic: I'm an omnivore, I eat everything up.

I tend to avoid xianxia and cultivation (read as gardening) or sect/martial art based chinese novels, and magic school harem or plotless (the kind of plot you don't find of woman torso) eichi japanese novels (all way too boringly repetitive and full of overused templates in my point of view), apart from that, the country of origin of the novels doesn't matter.

Detailing my reading list on NU, it seems I read more of japanese webnovel at the moment.

It didn't really matter where. As long as it suit my taste then ill give it a try.

    CN(xuanhuan,etc) >
JP(as long as it has a interesting plot) >
KR(when i dont have anything to read anymore)

    Ups, my bad. Slipped.
Well, there is "Reincarnator" with unique plot, or you can call it interesting. But, there is a lot, may be even too much confusing scene or new event/things unknowingly pop up without strong background. Just try it.

    This? Search it like this.

By the way, you shouldn't include the word "only" on the poll. You make it sounds like those option is limited for those who only read novels from that origin. Because we're talking about preference here. My preference is JP, but there are exceptions, I still read 1 or 2 CN and KR.

The quality of the story is more important than the region it comes from

I currently prefer CN. I guess I just haven't gotten over the entire Xianxia/Xuanhuan phase... because there are simply not enough completed works, but even then I'd still prefer Chinese novels by far. I haven't read many Japanese novels on a whole but manga and anime are still based on them and I know many of them have those MC... and some other things I dislike about them. As for Korean novels, there's even less material, I can't really get into them when most of them barely have any chapters translated, so until now I can't really have any opinion about them as the only one I read was LMS(about 20 volumes)...
