well cat stole all the power of the sword/Angel to ressurect

It is kind of like "Sword on the Stone " merlyn put the sword but after that only Arthur could remove it. Only someone with a claim to the throne could remove the sword.

 

How is it that the Squire can claim the throne but the Lone Swordsman can't?
