Okay. After checking some recipes for radish kimchi, I got my hands itching to make some traditional kimchi too so I decided to plant some napa cabbage. It's a very versatile crop that can be used for soup, stews, stir-fry and also as a salad. It seems the best spacing is one head per sq.ft. so that they'll have enough space to grow and won't compete for nutrients. One pack has 200 seeds for $6.59 so I'm using 1/4 of the pack! I expect to harvest around 40 cabbage heads from this plot after 75 days. Actually, after checking the seed packs again, I discovered I didn't even use half of the radish one since it had 650 seeds. I should have enough for 2 more plots. ------------------ My Money: $5.96 Momo's inventory: 2/3 pack of seeds [White Icicle Radishes] 3/4 pack of seeds [Barrel Head Napa Cabbage] 170 harvested radishes Big sale! It was one of her favorite street foods growing up in Shanghai though. >.< @Momoyuki maybe I'll buy like 5 radishes are bring them home for my parents? XD Maybe they can figure out what to do with it.

I made this recipe about a month ago when I had some leftover radish from my New Years' soup! It looks similar to this one but it's easier! I think the texture might be different but the flavour shouldn't change much. I actually thought it might be a bit bland so I added chopped fried bacon to the batter when I made it. *wraps radishes in old newspaper and hands them to Lychee-san* I hope your family enjoys it! ------------------ My Money: $6.96 (+ $1.00 from 5 radishes) Momo's inventory: 2/3 pack of seeds [White Icicle Radishes] 3/4 pack of seeds [Barrel Head Napa Cabbage] 165 harvested radishes Big sale! I kind of want apples so I found a 3-4 foot Golden Delicious apple tree, which is a self-pollinating variety. Cost is $14.95. Fruiting time is not particularly set in stone, but for this size I'm going to guess and say 4 years (or 1500 days). After that point it will fruit and it will bear fruit again every year (365 days). Number of fruit from a single tree can range from 0 - 800, but around 80 - 150 is a good number for a well cared for backyard apple tree. My Money: $1.80
