    Actually, as soon as I saw nuffy, I thought we were talking about one piece/ fan-fic equivalent... (Luffy)... to me it sounds to close to that.
    Why not go with this : ¥ . Apparently it is just the Japanese Yen, but the same symbol used for Chinese Yuan Renminbi (RMB, for those that find that more familiar)... and I tihnk it ties in with asian currency used on this site...

    So my proposal is NU¥.

    It looks like NUFFY sound better...
