    Organic farmers actually do use pesticides. They use organic ones.

    In either case, if you want to grow organic, it’s definitely fine to buy organic versions of whatever.

    Are these plants for commercial or for personal use? If they are commercial, pesticides would be needed to prevent customers from walking away. If they aren't, then as long as you are fine eating "damaged" goods you don't have to buy pesticide. Bugs are a fact of life anyway.

    For aphids (my main annoyance), soap and water work well. However, this method is reliant on manual labor. On the other hand, when you suggested pesticides, did you mean using a crop duster or implementing some other automatic system? This would be more costly in regards to $$$. Actually, never mind; your plots are too small, each one is only 1/1000 of an acre.

    You can also plant stuff like marigolds to repel insects - http://pallensmith.com/2014/10/26/17-plants-control-pests/. Or, what about using ladybugs and beneficial beetles? Chickens might also be helpful for bugs and weeds.

    As an idea for the future, what do you think about getting a worm bin? The worms eat cardboard (which you can get for free from stores like Trader Joe's), banana peels, egg shells, etc. and produce very good soil you can use like fertilizer.

    I actually don’t know anything about gardening (other than what I find on google), so it’s kind of ridiculous that we’re running a gardening simulator game here.

    >.< I think any advice you can give us is really really valuable!!

    If you have any suggestions on how we can game-ify real-life gardening features, I think we’d be very open to it!

    As for the worm bin, I’m totally up for it too! The garden has a “bank account” (currently w/ $1200), so if you can suggest to us what to buy and how to use it, it would help a lot!

    Looks like the worms are on sale right now ~$20 for 500, which is more than enough. As for the rest of the stuff, it depends on how the system works - is it a separate virtual world or can you get things like used boxes and cardboard for free?

    I almost forgot about the thinning, but the radishes need to be thinned or else they receive damage. >.<

    Turnip:
    • Day 17-25: Thin the seedlings 4 inches apart. Produces 5 lbs of crop waste. (action: prune)
    Radish:
