So turn 1, I roll a 7.
Turn 2 I roll a d7? Yikes

 

yup so
round 1 - 1d10 got 7
round 2 - 1d7 got 3
round 3 - 1d3
...
and so forth

 

Hmm. Your initial idea could work if its a roleplaying one.With some adjustments of course

 

Worst case scenario, the game mode I am talking about will run 10 rounds and should have an avg of 3-4 rounds

 

Actually no it can run for infinite rounds if two players can keep on repeating the same number forever but that aint gonna happen

So I imagine this game being like some sort of hammer game. You attempt to hit the bell, and the thing is connected to the ceiling. How high you hit the thingies is how high the ceiling is. Thus, if you hit the one, the ceiling comes crashing down and kills you.

 

Someone come up with a fitting name for it
