This is the discussion thread which is related to the NU's Anniversary Celebration - Unofficial Writing Contest (submission thread).

Everyone is welcome to comment on the short story entries in that thread here. Please put your reviews in spoilers so that the judges don't accidentally read them when scrolling through this thread.

Any queries about the contest can also be asked in this thread. If there are a lot of questions with the same type of questions, we may make a FAQ about it. So hopefully we have addressed everything that needs to be addressed so far.

All types of comments are welcome as long as they are related to the writing contest. It doesn't have to be a full review, opinions are fine too. We also welcome constructive criticism if there are certain points you’d like to address to help the writer improve. Please be mindful, its not just what you say but how say it. Bashing, for any reason, will not be tolerated!

A: No, they're in nuffies (the currency you earn from posting in here).

A: It is related to the number of words.

Q: Can I use someone on my stories without asking for permission?
A: The current users that can be used without asking for permission are: @Tony, @Westeller, @Nom de Plume, @holyshin, @brasca123, @blee8, @BlancFrost, @Das and @Kidyeon. This will be updated if more people say they don't mind being used.

Q: Am I allowed to comment on stories that are being made, or were already made on the submission thread?
A: Of course! Just put the comments on a spoiler please, we don't want to be biased when we start reading the stories, so we don't want to read them or any comments related to them until the deadline.

Is a story featuring Tony as a sociopathic, calculative jerkass okay?

 

As long as it is 2500 words long, you could put in a essay describing why cats beat dogs in cuteness and still get the participation prize! (But I am not gonna do that, I have to keep my face as a original novel writer).

As Tony-chan if she's alright with it, for me, you can even make a story shipping her with Parth, just make sure you have the permission of the involved parties if you're going to put them in it!
